WHAT IS AN ‘INSIGHT GROUP’ ?
An Insight Group is a Christ centered bible study that allows each of us to explore the issues (habits, addictions, attitudes, etc.), which can take control of our lives. The group provides a safe and confidential environment of encouragement.
The goal of this study is to harness the power and the wisdom of the bible, so that we can break free from life controlling issues and allow God to lead us into a more positive direction.

We are ministering to self-destructive lifestyles and life-controlling problems, habits, behaviors and addictions both OUTSIDE and INSIDE the Body of Christ in Hopkins County and beyond. There are no professional counselors or therapists here. We are recovering people ourselves, working a proven recovery program.
Quoting from our Insight Group Member Guide:
We define a life-controlling problem as anything that masters (or controls) a person’s life . . .
The easiest life-controlling problems to identify are harmful habits like drug or alcohol use, eating disorders, sexual addictions, gambling, tobacco use, and the like. But life controlling problems also include harmful feelingslike anger and fear.
Recognizing your need for healing and/or recovery may also come down to things like this: If your secret life is uncomfortably different from what your friends and family see and know, you may be suffering from a life-controlling issue. Or, let’s say your temper is often out of control and people you love and relationships you value are being hurt. Or, perhaps you are in a damaging co-dependent relationship. Are you living a life of quiet desperation? THEN YOU ARE READY!

And, as mentioned above, there are groups and meetings which cover other important needs.
